This place is a real people place. You feel welcomed and they'll make you anything you could imagine. This is my favorite place to have my lunch break, its an authentic place and you can tell that what's being cooked matters to them. Don't be snobby and enjoy this place. Nothing like it in around. A much needed break from the chaos that is Lexington! Food In Photos: Catfish sandwich and Meatloaf sandwich. Very good stuff!

Update 10.29.2025: Unfortunately, the last couple of times both the food and service was lacking. Recently, I ordered a bacon egg and cheese on a biscuit and ended up throwing it away. The card reader definitely needs an upgrade because it takes forever for transactions to go through. Previous Post: I pass by Phillip’s almost every day but had never given them a try until recently. I will be back. I ordered meatloaf but unfortunately, they were out. I was looking at the menu and the friendly worker behind the counter suggested “Country Fried Steak”. I decided to give it and it was delicious. The portion size was huge, especially in comparison to the cost of the meal. I had read reviews that it was unclean, but it looked fine too me. This little hole in the wall joint, is the place to be! They had a guy outside who told us about it and we decided to give it a try. Fresh made to order food, very fair pricing I had a hotdogs with chili, & cheese & some Mac n cheese, my husband had the catfish sandwich. Very friendly staff, and great food I will definitely come back and try something else from their large menu! Skip the chain restaurants and give them a try!!!

Great people and service every time I go in. Got the country fried steak which is always hot and delicious. Great breading and flavor, mashed potatoes are also super good and creamy. Can’t go wrong with anything here

Giant greasy catfish lunch plate for 8.99. Fast, hot, and tasty. More food than I could even eat. Every single person there was kind and delightful.
