Customer Reviews
Really outstanding gelato that essentially taste like the European version I live. It’s very hard to find good gelato in the states but Philmore comes very close. The salted caramel is particularly wonderful as well as the pistachio. They are generous with their scoops and prices are reasonable unlike my experience with salt and straw where I paid for the “kitchen sink” for $16 and got three tiny half scoops of ice cream!! This is a hundred times better!!!
Quality ice cream and great flavors- signed up for their rewards program and will be coming back! They let you try samples. Run if you want the strawberry shortcake flavor bc I was told it’ll be gone soon. Went with a friend and we both got a small cup with half matcha blackberry and half strawberry shortcake. Surprisingly, I liked the strawberry shortcake the best though both were good. The insides are small and though there’s some seating inside, there’s not much so be prepared to take your ice cream for a walk.
The zabaglione was incredible!! Super creamy and rich, perfect texture. The cherry mascarpone was also very very good, perfectly tart and creamy! They know what they're doing here
I ordered the 3 scoops with the flavors Almond Toffee, Stracciatella, and Coconut Gelato. It was a great combo and each flavor complimented each other well, but I would have to say the almond toffee was the highlight of these flavors. I also sampled the Passion fruit sorbet which was also really delicious, the sweetness was not overpowering at all. I would definitely come here again!!
I’ve been treating myself, and everyone who comes for a visit, to Philmore Creamery after warning them that they might not accept gelato, sorbetto or ice cream from anywhere else ever again. The seasonal fruit sorbetto is so creamy smooth and rich that I won’t bother with the icy crystals others sell as sorbetto no matter how tempted I might be to give it another try. It’s no wonder the fruit flavor comes through so strongly; I’ve seen boxes of beautiful freshly picked plums and peaches on the counter waiting to be turned into sorbetto. The gelato choices are so delicious I just go with the flight so I get to enjoy my 3 standard favorites and 3 new ones.
