I was seated immediately at around eight as just one person. The ambiance is bright and cozy. The service was pretty decent, and the pork rolls were good. The beef slices over white rice were thin and crispy, but they are overly salty. Overall it was a good experience and worth a visit or few, but I donโt think I would return regularly! I might try out some other things on the menu some other day though. The dipping sauce was also subpar.
genuinely surprised, what is this Vietnamese restaurant that popped up in the neighborhood and also chained out to Staten Island, has a lot of interesting flavors representing the classic Vietnamese dishes that they serve, which include the ban cuon, bun bo hue, and pho dac biet, also ca phe sua da, but overall flavors are actually good and it's a great value as well. so will add this to my repertoire, fair warning. it's a lot of food so better off sharing if you can. tips, for bun bo hue it can get spicy so avoid adding too many jalapenos, I do respect that they provide different condiments between the bun bo hue and pho and the meat is really tender for both dishes, and the ban cuon is like a banh xeo without doing the additional work and it has that crisp and flavor, in the iced coffee
This is comfy Viet restaurant for me in NYC. Most authentic Viet restaurant around 8 avenue area. Iโve been going since 2018, and witnessed through many recipe changes. I gotta say, the soft shell crab ๐ฆ for the Bรกnh Canh Cua is really top notch ๐ซก I wish they change back to the more chewy tapioca noodle though. The BBH and the Bรฒ lรบc lแบฏc here is also very good. Definitely their top 3 must try here imo. Plus the flan ๐ฎ the broken rice and rice crepe is okay, I only get them if Iโm really craving (rice is not broken rice, rice crepe is a bit thick), but overall still very good ๐๐ป
Pho 60 offers a solid Vietnamese takeout experience with thoughtful touches. The grilled beef roll with angel hair was familiar and satisfying, though not particularly standout. The Banh Khot, however, was a pleasant surpriseโcrispy, flavorful, and a rarity on most menus. What sets Pho 60 apart is the inclusion of all the classic accompaniments, especially the rice paper, which I always appreciate. A dependable spot with a few unexpected delights.
One of the most delicious pho broth I ever had. The grilled porkchop was juicy and freshly cooked. I could tell they are popular too because the takeouts and food delivery men were consistently coming in.I highly recommend this place when craving for vietnamese cuisine when in the area!
