I lived in Hanoi. This place isn't as economic as the little street side cafes where I used to eat lunch. But it has the same delightful authenticity and flavors. Great value, served by an older Viet guy, no tips expected (just as it would be in Vietnam) and every time I'm in Philly I keep coming back.
Pho Street Vietnamese offers a somewhat unconventional dining experience. The location includes an Auntie Anne’s store inside that appears permanently closed, which adds to the unusual ambiance. However, the restaurant itself serves quality pho and is a convenient stop for anyone in the area or attending an event at the Convention Center. To order, guests should enter through the Arch Street entrance, where they can use one of two self-service touchscreens, as there is no staff member at a front counter to take orders. After ordering and paying via the kiosk, customers simply take a seat and wait for their number to be called. Orders are typically prepared and served quickly. A personal favorite is the shrimp pho, which comes in a generous portion. The broth is flavorful and comforting,
Miss the Market Street location, but glad there’s still a Pho Street in town. Food is always great, pho broth is excellent. Ambience is austere, but clean, especially the restrooms which are customer-only. Prices are still decent, just wish the Market spot was still open, since it was so conveniently close to 30th Street Station.
I attended an event at the Pennsylvania Convention center for three days in mid-April. Two friends and I decided to have lunch at Pho Street one day. The place was very clean and nice-looking. We ordered two pho dishes and a vermicelli dish. The food was prepared pretty soon. Both were very tasty and plentiful. The cost was very reasonable considering that we were at a popular spot in Philly. Overall, we were very happy with the meal.
this place used to be my favorite in Bryn Mawr. Just did an Uber eats delivery for it asked for no onions because I’m all allergic and then no garnish just because on both of them and It came piled in bean, sprouts, basil, jalapeños it wasn’t in a separate bag. It was all in one with the onions. The chicken was so tough and rubbery. You can’t even chew it and the broth tastes so watered down. much better placed in the city don’t go here
