We ate there for the first time last night. I got the seafood pho and she got the chicken. The broth and noodles were great and so were the vegetables. Easily enough food for 2 meals . The pork fried rice was full of pork and veggies. Well seasoned. Did get a bahn mi, and that was just ok. Everything else was fantastic. Will definitely eat here again.
We had Phoba takeout this week and it was my first experience. I was so pleased! I got the brisket Pho -the portions were big and the takeaway set up was intense. Lots of sides and bowls and accessories - everything I could need and want to build my own bowl. I also got the coconut banana smoothie and I haven’t stopped thinking about it. It came in the cutest little kitty cup and it wasn’t super sweet or overpowering - it tasted really fresh. I rarely can finish a whole smoothie, especially after a Pho bowl, but I sucked it down. We will definitely go back!
I was so excited to try Phoba (one of my coworker told me about this place and she likes it) and i’m now 100% dissapointed. “Bun thit nuong” is one of the most popular and easy Vietnamese dish to make but they fail at making it at Phoba, its the worst Bun Thit Nuong i ever had. The noodles are so cold and hard like they soaked it in ice water, it should be soft and in room temp. The meat absolutely has no flavour and are chopped tiny which is so wrong.
Firstly the kids high chair & booster seat are kept next to the toilet in the women’s restroom, I don’t know about you but that’s absolutely gross. We dined in for lunch, husband ordered a Bahn mi & thought it was ok, lacking meat. Not the worst but not going to bring him back for more. I ordered the Steamed chicken Bao with vegetables.. Unfortunately, these are easily identified as Microwaved Bibigo brand chicken dumplings.(6 to a tray + dumpling sauce) Not really the Bao I was hoping for at this restaurant. I have these dumplings at home in the freezer and thought that was quite sad to receive at a restaurant. The fresh spring rolls were lacking crunch, they had a ton of mint which overpowered most of everything. I also ordered a drip coffee & that was just ok. The staff was kind but al
I ordered takeout from this spot. I got the shrimp spring rolls and combination Pho. The rolls came with a peanut sauce and I would say I would have preferred the rolls with a different sauce. Portion size of the rolls are great. (8/10) The portion size of the Pho was decent for takeout but the broth of the Pho was definitely interesting. (7/10)
