Clean, quiet remote picnic spot. No bathrooms, very little traffic. The scenic, "Hang Em' High" gate is a quarter mile East on your right.
Lots of wildflowers and very clean, with a scenic view. Much nicer than most rest stops we have visited. The highway is little traveled so you are not likely to be disturbed while there.
Convenient spot to stop and take the dogs out and give them some water. Only complaint is that it had been ignored and not mowed - we all had burrs by the time we left - they were stuck everywhere.
Far enough off the road to be safe. Not so far that it was quiet
Really not much to say a picnic areas a picnic area. I just stopped to take a quick nap. Worked good for that.
