Piecewise Coffee Co. - Columbia

Piecewise is a very good coffee shop. The cap and latte were both pretty good. The atmosphere is great, it’s long and narrow with plenty of seating. The biggest issue was not being greeted or having common courtesy. I even said “hello” first but did not get a response, even with eye contact. Found that a bit odd. Other than that, it was a good experience.

Had to check this place out after seeing the owner, Jacob, on TikTok. The coffee is so smooth and delicious! The bagels were yummy as can be. The atmosphere is relaxing, very clean and lots of seating. The service was exceptional, all employees were very friendly and kind. I will be back!! Jacob, you have a gem, can’t wait to check out your other location.

Piecewise is one of the few coffee places in the area that gets espresso right. Never burnt, just great caramel-esque flavor. They also use a good oat milk for their oat milk lattes, which I’ve come to realize is incredibly important if you have to be dairy free and want a good latte. I love that this location has seating that has cushions! I am chronically ill and this can be important if I am having a bad pain day. So we head to this Piecewise if it is happening.

Baristas are amazing! One of my favorite places for an afternoon snack (the bacon-cheddar scones are a favorite) and a fun, exciting drink. Always a solid choice for great coffee and a chill vibe. The WiFi is good too.

Huge fan of Piecewise. I have been going to the Cayce location for a long time. This location is a little different. Still the amazing service and high end coffee. But the layout of the shop is more young and fresh. It has the feel of a coffee shop off of a movie. Modern, cozy, work environment. Highly recommend it as a place to do work. This location probably not as good for bigger party’s just because of the inner layout of the shop. There is a lot of good parking on the front and back end which makes it super convenient.
