Pigs up in smoke bbq

I’m giving it two stars and not one because the potato salad and slaw was decent. That said, the bbq was dry and was in my opinion probably old. I asked for a Lexington style sauce since that’s what they advertise. What I got was straight vinegar, so much so that I choked twice on the bbq. I love ENC vinegar sauce, so the vinegar isn’t usually a problem. This however was drowning in vinegar, perhaps to try and make up for how dry the bbq was. It also was $15 for a plate. Add to that my canned drink was out of date and clearly tasted stale.

Very comfortable homey atmosphere inside the restaurant. The food was delicious and hot and fresh. I was very impressed that the gentleman took the extra time to actually toast the buns for our hot dogs and BBQ sandwich. Nobody else I know, goes through the trouble of doing that. That was a much appreciated special touch of taking just a few more minutes to make some good to great! 👍 Well Done! You can tell he cares about his customers and he has a passion for food. 😍. I’m very glad my husband spotted his signs on the side of the road as we left our doctors appointment. This place is a gem 💎. They give you lots of food for your money and it’s all delicious. 1st time in Old little country restaurant. Bar-B-Q is smoked in smoker. Nice flavor and tender. Ribs literally fell off bone when picked up. Guy was really nice and helpful . Banana pudding had sold out. Was told you have to get there really early..I was there like 4;30pm haha so I don't know how early you have to be there. Will stop in again.

So, went looking for this place, didn't know it was a good truck! So maps had the wrong location the time we went. No issues the bbq wasn't greasy, it's pulled not chopped (which to me is better) Wasn't overly seasoned so you definitely need the sauce on it. But no issues and would go back anytime

I was really looking forward to trying their bbq. Unfortunately, it was by far some of the worst bbq I ever had. We got the ribs and brisket, and it tasted like the meat was boiled. Nether was flavorful. The sides(baked beans, green beans and coleslaw) tasted like they came out of a can. I wish I could have given a more positive review, but I would be lying.
