We had the oxtail with rice and plantains. The food is wonderful - the meat was falling off the bones tender and bathed in a delicious sauce that also was good mixed with the rice. You need to ask for piklez but you want something vinegary and crisp to balance the richness of the oxtail. The restaurant is clean and spare - the focus is on the food. Service is leisurely but we weren't in a hurry. It was worth the wait.
My friends and I were visiting from NYC where there is a large Haitian population. I felt this meal surpassed many of the restaurants I’ve experienced living in Brooklyn. We got the fried goat, pork, and stew chicken. Everything was freshly cooked and each bite was so flavorful. We appreciated the restaurant was not crowded, and we enjoyed sampling each other meals. I HIGHLY recommend the pork. Melts in your mouth. Fair price and our waitress was very kind and sweet.
Food is very fresh and seasoned perfectly. It's a little small inside, but the service is great, and your order is prepared fresh. If your in that area stop by you want regret it

The other restaurant was closed so we looked up anything that was within a half mile and New Piman Bouk popped up. Yes, it’s a cash only place. Yes, the exterior looks like it needs some TLC. And the less than four point rating on google maps was an initial turn off. But when you walk in, it’s packed with Haitians speaking Haitian, so you know the food is going to be authentic. And even if it wasn’t for that, the smells are just heavenly. Hands down, this was some of the best oxtail I’ve had in a while. There are an insane amount of sauce that was included and let me tell you that was dome crack sauce. Super tasty. Not too acidic and not bitter. Just a deep and round flavor. We also got th
If you're looking for proper Haitian food in Miami, this is the place you're looking for. Located in the Little Haiti neighborhood, this cash only place definitely has excellent food at reasonable prices. The fresh was extremely fresh and fried perfectly. It came with rice and peas and thick fried plantain slices that were both really good! Even the condiments, a kind of red gravy and another spicy sour sauce with cabbage were great, pairing well with the fish. This place definitely gives the IYKYK vibes.
