Pio Bagel Flatbush

Surprise, surprise! I lived in this neighborhood for 3 year and just stopped by here today :) Granted I am not a huge bagel fan and the reason I stopped by was because TGTG. It is only 5 mins walk, figured to stock up food before snow storm lol. And I am pleasantly surprised how good the bagels were. There are 5 different types of bagels for my TGTG. I can taste the difference from store brought, packaged bagels, specifically, the texture: slightly crisp outside, chewy, toothsome inside. I tried the strawberry and everything bagels; the strawberry one was better, subtly sweet. The everything bagel isn't bad but too salty to my taste. Picking up my order was quick and easy. The place is very low key, neighborhoody bodega vibe. I shall be back in the future now that Pio passed my bagel

Some of the best bagels i’ve ever had. My favorite is the sesame bagel toasted with jalapeno cream cheese. you could tell their cream cheeses are very fresh even by my jalapeno cream cheese, you could tell those peppers were sliced fresh and mixed into the cream cheese. Big difference compared to other store-bought cream cheeses I’ve had.

I actually wanted a french toast bagel with eggs but maybe I didn’t specify that or maybe the girl didn’t hear me right but whatever. I didn’t want to fight. I was wondering why my bagel was over $10. Anyway i ate this french toast with eggs and it was good. Everything is so expensive now tho

Very chill atmosphere. Friendly servers and guests too. We are visiting New York and of course, I had to try the famous rainbow bagel. Since I was in the vicinity, I decided to get it from here. The bagel was fresh, toasted to perfection with generous shmear. There are other varieties of bagels like sesame, everything seed, plain, etc. There are many varieties of lunch bagels too. There is limited seating inside the store.

Such a cool place and they had a gluten friendly bagel which was delicious. So many options for cream cheese flavors.
