Pirrone's Pizzeria

This is not an ad: After spending a year in NYC eating pizza I'm back home to confirm that Pirrone's has the best pizza (and t-ravs) in the world, and that Jerry's Special is the best pie there is. I mean commonnnnnnn look at this! Layers of pepperoni and whole slices of bacon, but this ain't no soggy Imo's 🤢 bacon. They say it right there: "X-Crispy". The crust is buttered too, and I'm pretty sure they use a spicy vodka pink sauce on it 10/10 no notes

The food at Pirrones is great but if I could give lower than a 1 star for customer service and atmosphere I absolutely would. Every time you place a takeout order, you are guaranteed to wait 30+ minutes after the pick up time that they give you. I can’t tell you how many times I’ve heard “oh they dropped your pizza it’ll only be 10 more minutes”. That’s after waiting several minutes to even be helped at the front counter by an employee. They have what I assume is an employees table that is located on the floor front of house. Employees will sit and talk even when people are waiting to be helped. This is not a good business model to follow and if business was based on customer service alone, this place would not be open.

Spent $53 including tip and this is what I received. The garlic bread and pizza were so hard and burnt they were inedible. Extremely displeased I would not recommend and I will not be going back.

Pirrone's was recommended to me earlier yesterday, and I had been having a craving for pizza, so I thought I'd give 'em a shot. I was not disappointed! Great service and excellent pizza. Would go again!

Great pizzas and salads. The Large Special Salad is sharable and delicious. We have had the meat lovers and the Pirrones Special ( subbed black olives for the onions). Pizzas are STL style but rectangle shaped. And they are delicious. Their stl cheese blend is delicious crust is thin and crispy sauce compliments everything. Loaded with toppings.
