Pizza a Modo Mio (New York Pizzeria)

I came to try this pizzeria today due to a friend recommended a great NY style pizza selection. The very first thing I experienced when coming in to this restaurant was a young man behind the counter with no customer service skills at all , when I asked about the pizza choices and different pizza pies that were on display. I asked him about any lunch specials they may have for the pizza, and he didn’t have much to say. No advice or friendly words at all! Awful experience as a new customer. I ordered a plain pizza slice and a deep dish slice. The plain cheese slice was okay. I wish it had some more flavor. The deep dish was a little more tasty. It appeared to have plum tomatoes on it. I’ll say this. Anyone that is from New York specifically Long Island!! This is the spot to go to! 10/10 highly recommend!! So glad I tried this pizza place. It made me feel like I was back on Long Island with the great taste of pizza!! Whenever I visit Charleston, this is my new favorite spot!

Ordered for pickup. Unfortunately we didn't check the pizza before going home. Pizza was burnt, 6 wings were anorexic/burnt and not worth $10. $40 wasted and all we received was an $18 credit through SLICE.

I have never been to New York for pizza but if it tastes like this I understand what all the hype is about. Perfect amount of toppings and the crust was perfect, not bready or chewy. Overall outstanding. And they are local to Hollywood, but worthy of a drive from Charleston or anywhere else. I highly recommend and will make them a regular stop. I have also tried their coffee and pastries in the past and those are outstanding also. The picture is of the deluxe pizza. The garlic knots were great also!

Laid back and chill atmosphere. Love the throwback music. The restroom is clean. The mural is beautiful! The pizza is the best that we’ve had in this state. The dessert is delicious. We have to go back!
