Customer Reviews
The staff are nice at this location, but the portions are absolutely pathetic. I just called them to ask about it, and they supposedly have a new policy of measuring out how much acai base is to be included in the bowl, and now they're barely filling it up to HALF the bowl! Why bother with the whole dome shamed container as if to accommodate toppings when the toppings don't even reach the flat point? Playa bowls was always more expensive than other places, but I've continued to order for their portions and consistency. Apparently enshitification and shrinkflation got to them. Pathetically small portions now.
I love this place and its bowls in any of their versions, fresh fruit, tasty, juicy, sweet but not cloying and the peanut butter is a craziness…Yummy
The person that helped me was extremely kind and patient regarding my modifications and the entire experience was very pleasant. The bowl itself was delicious and filling and the perfect guilt free treat after a long day. Definitely worth the price!
First of all, this place was nearly impossible to find since it’s inside a gym, which made the whole experience uncomfortable from the start. Once I finally got there, I was told I had to order through an app, but the payment system kept failing. There was no one around to assist, and the place felt completely empty and unwelcoming. On top of that, the pricing was inconsistent. A bowl that was supposed to be $17 when ordering through the app ended up being $21 when ordering at the front desk—how does it increase by $4 just because of where you order? Even though I ended up ordering, the entire experience was way too uncomfortable. The menu looked good and the prices seemed fair at first glance, but I don’t think I’ll be coming back. There are other, better places to go Update: I emailed
Have tried this location a few times. Note, it's in the Mercedes House building in their health club so it's a bit weird to find. Basically, go up the stairs or there is an elevator and once you walk past reception, it's right there. Pros - The fruit has always been fresh and I have always felt they loaded the bowl with all toppings, do not seem to skimp. Cons- There is often only one person working and there can be a little bit of a wait. Also, it is pricier ($15 on average). I will also add I live local so have never tried delivery, but no issues with walking in (minus the occasion wait).
