Pleasantdale Chinese Restaurant

I once saw an Asian dude on YouTube say the best Chinese restaurants are rated 3.8 stars on Google. Maybe the dude was wrong. I expected bigger egg rolls for two bucks a piece... Coke was cold though.

Been staying over here for years and never tried this restaurant but today I did and now I am over here beating myself up because I never did! THE FOOD WAS AMAZING! It reminded me of the one of those old hood Chinese restaurant growing up in Atlanta-Decatur that you really can't find anymore these days. Well this restaurant brought me home baby. I ordered the orange chicken, shrimp fried rice and a couple of egg rolls... And brought it home to Big Daddy so he can judge, the hubby. When I tell you he judge food like chef Ramsey 🤣 and he said aye that tasted pretty good there baby, I was in pure shock! But he was right! I dug in after my shower and enjoyed a great after work meal! Very yummy 😋

I drive pass this restaurant all the time, and today on my day off I decided to come by and have dinner. I must admit I thought this place was more like a seat down restaurant, but come to find out it’s buffet style take out kind of like the malls dining. The prices are real good and there no wait for cooking. The food taste very homemade and is well prepared also very tasty!

Though I have lived fairly close for years, I’ve never eaten here before. Saw it on GrubHub and decided to give it a try. Ordered the Szechuan Pork, egg drop soup and egg rolls. The order arrived quickly, complete and correct. Packaged a bit loosely, there was quite a bit of sauce in the bag, and on the outside of the container that needed to be wiped up before we started eating. The pork was cooked just right (and there was a generous portion of it). The veggies (cabbage, onions, carrots, green peppers, etc...) still had a nice snap to them. The Szechuan sauce was excellent. The spice started mild, but the more you ate, the more the spice let you know it was there, yet never became overwhelming. Egg drop soup was very basic, yet surprisingly very flavorful. Egg rolls were basic egg roll

Honestly, the reviews don't do it justice. This restaurant is run by a very nice couple. Very kind! The food is excellent, flavors are not too overpowering, and it doesn't taste like the typical Chinese spot. Overall, meals are enjoyable! If I could give more stars, I would.
