Poesia Café

Got to come in for the grand opening and be the first to buy a croissant and tiramisu. Ended up getting a second croissant to eat for the next day. The food looks like art, but the flavors and textures will blow you away. Definitely come give it a try!

Recently opened and saw they have maritozzo and cornetto couldn’t wait to come try! Honest the crema cornetto was so light(not like croissant which I love too but they are different) - it transported me back to Rome! Crema filling was perfectly sweet and light - it wasn’t extra sweet or heavy at all, the hint of orange in it was definitely something that took it to next level. I liked moritozzo too though the plain cream one was sold out already so we’ll come back for that one! I am soo glad there is a place in Bay Area which makes these Italian pastries like the ones they actually are in Italy - I was on a hunt to find any place which would reliably be as close as possible to how they are supposed to be and this place sure is going to be go to on every trip to SF. This Poesia Café Bakery opened January 5, 2026! How exciting! In the former Specialties Bakery location (down the stairs as if going to Montgomery Street BART or Metro) at One Post. The bakery bakes all their goodies here and for their Castro café. It’s an Italian baked good lovers dream! Space for sitting! Pastries, croissant sandos and foccacia!

Quite literally a hidden gem, Poesia is tucked away near the exit to the BART station. Filled with classic Italian pastries, it’s perfect for a quick snack or lunch. The sandwiches are absolutely SUBLIME - definitely go for the classic parma. 5/5 - recommend visiting before everyone finds this hidden spot

Everything I've had here has been great, you have to try the Roman Maritozzi! So good
