I placed an order to go and it was only going to take 15 minutes. I only have a 30 minute lunch break. The place is kind of small but friendly staff, but when II placed an order to go and it was only going to take 15 minutes. I only have a 30 minute lunch break. The place is kind of small but friendly staff but when I got there, there was 15 people literally in front of me and I had to wait 30 minutes to get my food that was sitting there getting cold on a $70 order that I placed the food was good even though it was cold and the service is good. They just need two cash registers or a place where people that call in food can come right ahead and pay and get their food instead of waiting 30 minutes so I was 20 minutes late back from lunch, but other than that the food was pretty good

So I got the rib plate with yams and Mac n cheese, it is DELICIOUS. Ribs nice and tender, yams to die for, and the Mac n cheese is wonderful. The building its self and the staff are great. My only glaring big negative is the music they have playing. It sounded like it was written/played by AI and honesty its sloppy and lazy. If they wanted to support the local community more they'd hire a local band to play it and it would be a leg up to the both of the parties involved instead of fueling AI slop. Other than that 8/10. Might be back. Its card only so just a heads up if you're bringing cash.

Excellent ribs and yams, loved the barbecue sauce and meaty ribs! The Mac cheese every good except for barbecue sauce spilling over into it in to go order!

Everything was literally perfect! If I could describe the food I would say it reminds me of the movie, soul food. You can tell everything is cooked with love. The food is top tier! The service is fast and the hospitality is amazing. I will definitely make this a frequent place I eat at.

Yall, the Pokey D burger is an absolute field trip of flavors! The slaw and bbq sauce was only made tastier by the burgers juiciness. I consider myself an expert burger chef and there are few burgers I yield to. This burger was HOT, juicy, flavorful and BIG! Their menu is packed with delicious offerings. I’m so glad they located so close to home. The vibe in the restaurant is welcoming and upbeat. It’s family friendly and plenty of great cakes on the menu to satisfy any kid. I’m sure the red velvet would have been outstanding but I was stuffed from the burger. Keep up the great work Pokey D’s and I’ll see you soon.
