Pollard's Chicken at Tidewater (Norfolk)

Ordered a 16 piece (just chicken) in advance and the food was ready for pickup at the requested time and hot. The chicken was tender and tasty, not over breaded or soggy. They are a well-known restaurant in the Hampton Roads area and awarded the best chicken in the area, which shows in the quality they provide. A little bit higher than the local grocery store, but worth the cost.

Stop eating here! Customer Service is not difficult I walked in to pick up an order. I do doordash every now and then. No one said Hello or how can I help you. The person at the front was wiping down the tablet screen at the counter. I said I have a pick up. She said what is the name & let me see your phone while holding her hand out as if I am supposed to give her my phone. The way she asked it is very clear she does this a-lot. I said no you cannot touch my phone. She made a smart remark & said that she wasn’t asking for my phone when clearly she was. Her hands were very nasty and dirty. She did not wash her hands before she grabbed the bag to hand me the food. The dirty cloth she was using to wipe down the screen has germs on it & so does her hands. Before moving away Pollard's Chicken was one of my favorite places to eat. Needless to say I was looking forward to some of their mouth-watering, delicious fried chicken. Even though I did carryout to a location 30 minutes away, everything was still quite warm when I opened it up to eat. Absolutely delicious fried chicken, seasoned green beans & mashed potatoes. The service was quick and courteous. For those dining in the dining area looked clean.

They closed 1 place 12/31/25. I ordered gizzards and liver. Was cooked pretty good, but there was no seasoning.
