Founded in Guatemala, Pollo Campero is known for its hand-breaded fried chicken and slow-roasted grilled chicken meals, signature drinks, and a variety of sides. I decided to check out this casual restaurant which has a clean and inviting atmosphere. I placed a dine-in order for a 2-pc fried chicken meal with a drink, dinner roll, and a side of Campero rice. I also ordered another side of sweet plantains. After paying, I received a table number marker so the food could be delivered to my table. Within minutes the food arrived and appeared appetizing. I started with the chicken leg, which was lightly breaded, crispy on the outside, and both tender and flavorful on the inside; it was accompanied by a soft dinner roll. The plantains, fried to a golden brown, were deliciously sweet. The seaso

This was my first time at Pollo Campero. I’ve heard nothing but good things about this place. Pollo Campero originated in Guatemala in 1971. This started out as a family run business. The staff here at Pollo Campero are very nice especially Marisela. She was so very friendly and when my food order was ready she walked it over to us. This restaurant was neat and clean and they have a good amount of tables if you want to eat in.I placed my order for takeout only. A customer who had eaten here 19 times told me to order their Fried Chicken.Everything is made fresh. Based on his recommendation I did. I placed my order for 3- 3 Piece Meals that consisted of a Breast, Thigh, and Wing. It came with a choice of a side. I chose 2 of their Campero Rice side, and 1 of their Baked Beans side. I also or

Stopped in at Pollo Campero in Pompano Beach at Copans Road and Federal Highway for a quick meal with Latin flair, and it did not disappoint. The 3-piece fried chicken was delicious — crispy, lightly breaded, and full of flavor. The roll and fries were just okay, nothing memorable, but the chicken more than made up for it. Eat-in and ask for real silverware. We also tried the Campero Bowl, which was very tasty with a nice mix of textures and their signature rice — definitely something we’d order again. Meals don’t come with drinks, but the drink station was a pleasant surprise with four specialty beverages and free refills. The total came to $30 for two people, which felt like a good value considering the portion sizes — we had enough leftovers for another meal. The only downside was the

PRO: ordered the chicken nuggets and fell in love with how juicy and flavorful. Pretty good sized nuggets and seasoned perfectly. The chicken empanada was also quite tasty. Slaw was on point. My potato fries had a couple yucca fries hidden inside so it was nice to get a sample lol. Overall taste of meal was good! CON: the potato fries were weak… I blame the packaging for most of my disappointment. My main letdown was on accuracy of the order. I ordered pick up… went in, had no wait, grabbed my sealed bag and I was out the door. Upon double checking my order while sitting in my car, realized they forgot my family size slaw. Went back inside the store and saw it sitting on the counter waiting for me. Mistakes happen, I get it. But then when I got home to eat my meal, I realized the empanada
