We love pollo campero, the locations in Guatemala are a staple but the ones here in the states are horrible. We arrived for dinner and straight off the bat the entire restaurant was dirty. From the lobby to the restrooms. The cashier's seem unhappy and really unwilling give you adequate help. The good thing is there is a self service kiosk. There was blood drips by one of the restrooms near the toilet handle. Definitely not safe for kids to enter.

I’m not sure why none of their locations seem to have chicken breast available. (Especially this one) Almost every time I go there to eat, I’m told they are out of it. While the chicken itself is good, the service tends to be hit or miss. Consistency matters—not just in the food, but also in the customer experience. Selling good chicken is important, but providing reliable service and having key menu items available should be a priority as well.

This was my first time at Pollo Campero. I live in Cedar Hill, which is probably 30 miles south of this restaurant, but I was working in the area. The fried chicken was awesome! I have had a lot of fried chicken living south of downtown Dallas. The chicken at Pollo Campero was tender and wasn't too salty. I have to say, it was a little greasy, pero, así es, it's fried 🐔 I also had the Yuca fries which were really good, although I would have liked a little more portion on the fries. Overall, I had a great experience! My meal tasted great. It is quality food for a good price. Tony helped me with my order at the Richardson location, and the other staff members who interacted with me were friendly and they smiled at me, which kinda made me feel welcomed. I enjoyed the food for the most part, but one side of the chicken was definitely undercooked as I can tell as I bit into it. The prices are very reasonable in terms of what you get, but I probably won’t return because of the lackluster experience due to the hype of this place.
