Ponderosa Fish Market & Restaurant

Saw good reviews and was craving fish. Crowded but didn’t have to wait over 15 minutes for fresh fish. Fish had enough seasoning to give it flavor with a light crunch. Stingy on the tartar sauce. Only received 2 tiny packs for 3 pieces of fish. Ordered a flounder plate. Came with 3 good size pieces, 2 slices of bread and fries. Disappointed cole slaw was not included. Meal cost $12. Sanitation score was 92 on 10/4/25. Couldn’t make out the date of the inspection. The place is dirty, with clutter on tables, supplies stacked on the floor and benches instead of in closets. Table was broken and doors left open to storage rooms facing out to dining room. Didn’t look at conditions of bathroom. However a good “hole in the wall” typically makes the best food. Service was fast, friendly and fair

Hidden gem in Fayetteville. This was our first time coming here and it reminds me of a mom and pop restaurant. The line was already busy when, we walked in. It's spacious on the inside and the fresh fish looks absolutely beautiful. I was the most impressed by the "no fresh fish" smell when, we walked in and even as it was cooked you could hardly smell it. Mr. Kim and his staff are very nice and professional. The younger gentleman (possibly the son of the owners) that was working in back by the sink; he had on a light yellow shirt and gray sweatpants has some awesome fish cut and dressing skills. 🙂🥰🙂 He was done so fast; I didn't get to see it all. 🙂 You are amazing. 🙂 We chose a whole red snapper plate with the fish to be filleted and cooked to order while we waited. We here today at 12:45 just to pick up some fresh fish to fry at home was told as soon as I walked through the door that they were closed and closed at 12:45. But the site says 1:00pm I also witness a person go in after us while sitting in the car and they came back out with a plate.

Had a Fried Catfish plate with 2 sides for $7.50 from Ponderosa Fish Market by Westover HS everything was Fried perfectly 😋 It was early & they already had customers coming for the Fresh Fish 🔥🐟 Whiting plate for the WIN

Most fresh seafood markets have disappeared, but this one is still serving the community! Awesome service. The fish, shrimp, and extras; are a little pricey, but You get what You pay for! I'll keep going there.
