Popeyes Louisiana Kitchen

Stopped by the Popeyes in Des Moines, WA after craving some wings and using a coupon from the app. Access is a bit tricky as it’s not reachable from one side of the road without a loop around. The location is clean with a decent-sized parking lot. Restroom was available and clean. Service can vary depending on how busy they are. It does feel a bit understaffed during both my visits. Decided to stop in for lunch. Food was delicious, but it did take a while to get the food. There was two people in front of us and we probably waited in line for almost 10 minutes before I order was taken, and it was another 15 minutes to receive our food afterwards. Got two meals, a number one spicy chicken sandwich large combo with two sides, the chicken was good, the rice and beans were good as well as the macaroni and cheese. My wife got the pickle chicken sandwich, I think that sandwich tasted more moist in the other one, overall we enjoyed ourselves. If we were there for a lunch break we definitely would have ran out of time would had to take the food to go. Dining room was very clean, good atmosphere. 12/72/24 After arriving from Spokane via Alaska Airlines. I still wanted some chicken 🍗. I got the 6 piece wings (sweet and spicy) combo with a drink and coleslaw. My husband got the 2 piece large combo upgrade with mash potatoes and red beans with rice with a drink. We got our order within 10 minutes. The worker who took our order and prepared our food was nice and smiled the entire time until she handed us our food. The fountain drink section was a mess with spilled drinks and was not cleaned as some of the drinks were dried and some were still wet. 😕 The tables were clean and we enjoyed our food.

My first experience at Popeyes was awful. I waited for what felt like 50 minutes for an order when they said it would take 15–20 minutes, and I only ordered 3 sandwiches and a biscuit. They gave me the wrong sandwich, then demanded I give back a sandwich that had already been bitten into, and refused to remake it if I didn't. The staff was rude, unprofessional, and the atmosphere was uncomfortable with employees yelling at each other. I wish I had gone to Burger King instead.

Ordered a 5 piece tenders meal and was told there would be a 5 minute wait. I pulled around to front of restaurant to wait. Eventually someone brought out food for another car. By that time I had actually been waiting for half an hour. I'm disabled and it wasn't really feasible for me to go in. I asked the employee how much longer and was told the cook was late. Got my food finally (no apology for the wait) and it was horrible. The chicken was tough and the biscuits tasted "off". Never going back.
