Port Jefferson Frigate

I am writing to express my support for Frigate and to address the influx of biased reviews recently posted. This shop is a staple of Port Jefferson, and it is disappointing to see its reputation targeted by reviews that focus on past political displays rather than the quality of the products and service. The store offers an excellent selection, including gluten-free options, Indian Lassi beverages, milkshakes, smoothies, and a wide variety of healthy juices. There is no other place on the island quite like it. It is a must-visit destination for anyone in the area. I urge Google to review and remove these biased ratings, as they do not reflect the actual customer experience or the quality of the business. I used to go to The Frigate several times each year even though I live in Westbury. It had decent candy. For nearly a decade now the store just keeps going down. The owner is loud and obnoxious and that does not boost its standing.

We’ve always liked this place, but we finally got doggy ice cream for Frida Panda which took our experience to the next level! We had a blast taking pictures and videos of her enjoying it. The staff were very friendly and explained how their doggy ice cream is made from safe products like cheese and peanut butter. 🐾🐼♥️ Unfortunately, dogs can’t go inside the store, but they have a great selection of dog treats in addition to the ice cream cups and cones.

Amazing place...better than any Carvel, or Baskin Robin's you will go. This is a very unique, personal place because you can see and taste everything that comes out of there is made with love and care. Ice cream is delicious, but it also has gelato, smoothies very unique candy, and even dog treats. So, if you are in the area, walking around, enjoying the day, come check them out.

literally the worst place. This used to be my favorite childhood memory ice cream/candy shop. the ice cream always taste like a freezer and the candy is always hard and just aweful. The OWNER is the nastiest person you will ever meet. just rude and thinks the world owes him something. I will never return. I used to eat here a few times a year and always bring a friends and family here. anyone who would visit from out of town it was always a must to stop in with them. Not anymore it's a shame it's not what it used to be. OHHHH and the prices you have to take out a loan now to purchase a pound of stale candy. it is laughable the prices on things in there.
