Portesi Fine Foods

Not a fan of their new frozen pizza selection. Bought one of the sausage ones from Festival Foods and tried yo cook it tonight. It looked great on the pizza pan. Just couldn't get it off of it. Tried several different spatulas to get it off finally made some progress with the big grill spatula. Now I have to spend 20 minutes trying to get rid of the residue. What a joke!

Pizza takes a bit to cook, but it is absolutely worth it. Perfect crust. Cheese bread was good. Batter on calamari reminded me of a peppered chicken tender batter. Perfectly cooked and not chewy at all; very tender.

The pizza is better than the joint. I believe in this town it is well established that they probably have one of the better tasting pizzas. If you could, imagine this if you will. The place reeks of mid 70s decor and the whole place could use a complete renovating. Not that paint is peeling and the place looks like it's about to fall apart, not at all! It just needs to be updated. Including the bathrooms which had an old musty smell. The Young waitresses were fantastic and did their best to make our meal a pleasure. The last time I was there I had spaghetti and meatballs. I guess I wasn't really crazy about it and I suppose I'm fussy about how the sauce should taste. The kids shared a 10" cheese pizza witch was great size for 2 kids. 3 adults shared a 14" pizza wasn't bad. The deep fried ravioli was the best part. If your not in the mood to wait for pizza don't come here. But it was pretty good. Would come back again, just gonna try new things on the menu.. always more exploring to do.

I grew up eating this pizza. I moved to Tennessee but still make trips home and I always bring some pizzas home with me. It is the best reminder of home.
