Portobello Inn Bed & Breakfast

We highly recommend The Portobello Inn. Our stay was wonderful. Roland accommodated our late arrival. His home cooked breakfasts every morning were a special treat, we especially enjoyed Roland's muffins, they're out of this world! The house is lovely and full of interesting antiques and collectables. Our rooms were charming and comfortable. We had a treat of dining with Steve one morning also, he was a pleasure to talk to and very knowledgeable about the area.||The hospitality of The Portobello Inn stays with you long after you’ve checked out! ||Also, a special thanks to you Rolland for checking into Hemstrought's bakery for us so we could buy some of their famous Half moon cookies :)

I had the pleasure of staying at the Portabello Inn on 6/22/18- 6/24/18. We went to New York for a wedding and we found the Portabello on trip advisor. Roland and Steve where suck wonderful Inn keepers. They had so much information on the property and it's history. The rooms was very nice and the showers were hot. The house was built in the 1700's and it had a lot of character.The breakfast was wonderful and we were glad the Steve and Roland joined us for the meal. I will definitely be going back to visit the Portabello Inn in the future.

We have been staying at Portobello Inn annually for about 15 years when we visit family in the region - because staying here we feel like family! Roland and Steve are warm and gracious hosts. The rooms are clean, the beds comfortable and the house has plenty of comfortable chairs to read in, a piano, antiques and other gift items for sale, delicious breakfasts and did I say how warm and gracious the hosts are? It's conveniently located midway between Herkimer and Little Falls. There is a spacious yard to relax in out back. You'll feel welcome and at home at the Portobello Inn.

After biking on the Erie Canal trail, we had the immense pleasure of spending the night at the Portobello Inn! The bed and breakfast was a historical home loaded with antiques and charm. The hosts were a wealth of information and interesting stories of the house's history, but more impressive was their graciousness and kindness to our group. Roland is an extraordinary chef, serving our group a 5-star, gourmet dinner upon our arrival, since finding an open, decent restaurant on a Sunday night was impossible. He followed up the next morning with a 5-star breakfast as well! There's quite a long distance between the house and the train rails that run through the town of Little Falls. For some people, the sound of passing trains might be bothersome, but we considered that part of the charm

My daughter and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Portobello Inn. Roland was extremely accommodating and made us feel like we were home for the four days we stayed. Steve was delightful the one morning he joined us, telling us historical facts about the area and the Inn. It is a beautiful home which has many unique touches, and fantastic door stops. (Inside joke) I can not recommend it more highly.
