Prosecco Italian Osteria

This is my 5th visit to Prosecco in the last 12 months. It's been consistent each time: the meals are good, but the service needs a little attention. Upon sitting down at our table, we were presented with four pieces of French bread and a dish of there special herb and olive oil dip. The bread was fresh and the dipping sauce was very good. We started off with the waiter's suggestion of arancini (rice balls). For $15.00, I expected more than two golf ball sized rice balls in an anemic pool of red sauce. I found it odd that each ball had one little piece of cheese and one pea inside. That's right, one pea. I guess I was paying for how precise these little balls were made. Were they good? This place has good food. Unfortunately when I arrived, my entire purpose for going was to get the gnocchi and they said they didn’t have any that day. The penne was ok, it spectacular. The lobster pasta dish was very good and the lobster was cooked perfectly. The chocolate ice cream was weird and had something weird in the middle of it so I didn’t like that at all. All the pasta is apparently made fresh daily though so everything is super fresh. Their sauce is also very good.

Had the lobster mac and cheese. Made fresh. Very good.

We ate here for a late lunch. There were only 2 other tables occupied. We had the calamari, minestrone soup and baked eggplant with angel hair pasta. For dessert we had the panna cotta pistachio flavor, The service was not as expected or appropriate for such light seating. Several times we had to ask another waitress for water. Only when the bill was to be paid did we get attention. The eggplant was very good baked but lacked enough mozzarella. The angel hair pasta was as expected but they served it mixed with sauce. The calamari was too heavily breaded but the accompanying sauce was great. The minestrone soup was excellent. The panna cotta was ok but I would suggest another flavor aside from pistachio.

Sensational Italian food. Sublime atmosphere, very relaxing. We had drinks on the table right away, and our starting soup and salad right away too. Absolutely scrumptious menu, my smoked turkey panini for example was warm, soft and succulent. Their pricing isn’t bad either. Go check them out, you’ll be glad you did.
