Prospect Place Bed & Breakfast

It was a delight to stay at the prospect place BNB! We learned this has been a home for families and now travelers for 160 years. It’s lovingly decorated by the owner Eric with all amenities for comfort. Most Notable Is the wonderful hospitality. We were there with the manager, COLLEY who went beyond expectations to provide Breakfastfor both us & our food friends who live in the area. It’s great location with all amenities. But the outstanding part was breakfast conversation with the interesting people who stay here. If our future travels, bring us back to Boston, we would absolutely stay here again. Eric was the most wonderful host for our stay this past week. He was accommodating, communicative, and friendly. He was so knowledgeable about the area and was able to give us great recommendations for activities and restaurants near the B&B. The house was gorgeous and so well maintained. There was antique architecture as well as modern refurbishments. This was the epitome of the perfect B&B and we’ll definitely be back if we ever come back to the area. Working on an old house the last couple years myself, meeting Eric was a singular joy. He's put good taste and the care of an artist into the place and it's just what we needed. Comfy beds, comfy accommodation, and real (actually) consideration from our host too. We have worked too much the past while, and this helped us feel human again. Breakfast was pleasant, the location is excellent, and although I wish there were on-site parking we will be back the next time Cambridge comes into consideration. Thanks!

Eric and Judith are warmly hospitable, helpful, and very knowledgeable about the area. The rooms are cozy and comfortable, and the location is perfect: close to Central Square on the red line, walkable and bikeable distance to Harvard and to the Charles River along charming little streets lined with well-kept historic houses. Prospect Place breakfasts are outstanding, often with great conversations around the table and interesting guests from around the world. The Victorian living room, complete with grand piano, is a special feature, a comfortable place to sit and chat, catch your breath, wait for a ride, or simply read. For over 25 years this has been my home away from home every October. It is always a treat to see our hosts again, and to come to the gracious and familiar surroundi

This was our first experience staying at a bed and breakfast and we couldn't be more pleased. Eric was very helpful throughout, helping us with ideas and how to navigate Boston. The home is beautiful and very comfortable, holding true to it's history! We would highly recommend a stay here
