Customer Reviews
The staff here are very unfriendly and rude. They also have scolded children or sternly told young children to be quiet in the kids area. There are far better libraries in DFW than this one. I would rather take my family to a library where we feel welcomed! Celina, Frisco, Colony, Little Elm, and Plano libraries all have much friendlier staff and better book selection. Prosper is a great community and its disappointing that its library is subpar.
Prosper library staffs are very mean and rude ..They keep mean faces and show Discrimination and create their own rules. Very unfriendly library for adults and kids that I have seen. It is not a good place for kids to exposed to such kind of unwelcoming behaviour from staff especially the one in receptions in front of computers are very rude .
I am very disappointed with the experience at this library. Ms Shay in particular, makes unfriendly faces and creates an unwelcoming atmosphere. She seems to show preference to certain people over others, which is unfair in a public learning space. They just wanna relax and pretend they are in front of computer acting as professionals In general, many of the librarians give uncomfortable looks and make people feel as though they are being followed around. This does not create a welcoming environment, especially for families with young children. The so-called “kid-friendly area” is not actually child-friendly — books are left lying around, and there are no toys, Legos, or other activities to engage toddlers. It feels poorly maintained and not thoughtfully designed for children. Overall,
Library is small and book collection is not good. Prosper needs a bigger and better library like the ones we have in Allen or Frisco.
Checking reviews has become a necessary habit before visit places. Here, maybe I missed it, but not one single reply addresses the reviews calling out rude and offensive behavior or the limited book selections in the children’s and adult sections. Yet there are several responses to the “glowing” reviews. The lack of response speaks for itself. I’ll find another library to visit.
