Criticisms of public bathrooms are always a double-edged sword. On the one hand, the existence of a bathroom where one is not required is always preferable to the non-existence of a bathroom where one is needed - and almost any bathroom condition is acceptable when this condition is true. On the other hand, enduring less than comfortable bathrooms, held hostage by one's bladder, is a heavy offset to the gratitude for the bathroom existing. This surprisingly complex milieu applies perfectly to the restrooms at Flag Ponds. Sat at the mouth of the beach trail, these bathrooms are ideally located for those that drank their water far too quickly along any of the several paths that lead to the beachhead or for those that have emerged from a swim in the water and need to slip away to relieve the
