Public Beach Access 24

After moving to the area I was initially residing in Panama City off highway 231, a good half hour drive in traffic. My first trip to the beach from the other side or "in town" as locals call it was to the closest access I can get to and that was public Access 24. Although it can be crowded at times since there is a high-rise nearby and it is one of the quickest accesses from east of the Hathaway bridge, it's always nice to come back to this familiar, easily accessible spot. Parking can be tricky, if Ms Newbys is packed but usually it's the quickest beach within reach for anyone coming over the bridge. If you see this house, then you're in the right spot! We loved this area. There were so many shells, and there was a (very small) parking area right there.

Walked 2.9 miles from our resort condo to this beach to play volleyball, it was a great still and the white sandy beach was fantastic! There were 6 beach volleyball courts and they were in good shape, we had a blast. I would recommend this beach to everyone!

Small parking lot available near the boardwalk to the beach. You cross a small non-busy road. There were two parking spots located near the boardwalk. One spot was a handicap and the other was a regular spot. While there was a handicap ramp access from the main parking area, I don't remember seeing one provided after the boardwalk area. Great spot, the only downside was that there were no public restrooms available.
