Public Restrooms

The workers here will deny Black people to use the bathroom here but would let white people use it. I have a medical condition and had an emergency and the staff did not care, was extremely rude and said they were close and send me to go a bathroom 15 minutes away that was also closed. Luckily the nearest train station MTA staff let me use their bathroom. I walk by around 30 minutes later and saw people using it?? So the white people before me was okay to use and the white people after it was fine as well but me, a Black person , it’s closed?? Extremely disappointed and disrespectful behavior especially from a Central Park staff member. 2025 and still get treated like this, can’t use a public restroom because of the color of my skin.

Open as of 5/24/25. Clean toilets. Toilet paper is thin and hard to roll off in the 3rd stall (it is on a square bar??). Only 1 sink. No hot water. No paper towels, but has a hand dryer. Overall, I’ve seen better public restrooms and I’ve seen worse!

Wasn’t clean but still the only public restroom in this area.

The flush of the potties and the washbasin don’t work but you can still pee in there

There was soap, but no running water. That explains the smell...
