Purdy Cabin Guest Retreat

This was one of our very favorite places to stay! The 3-level deck was wonderful, as it gave us several places to relax and enjoy a beverage while watching the wildlife. We loved having our own little private bend of the river all to ourselves. What a bonus! We loved the cabin's rustic, yet clean and well-cared for decor. The beds were comfortable and kitchen very well equipped. If we'd had more time, we would have been baking up a storm in there! The hostess was friendly and very helpful, knowledgeable about the area and places we should explore, and even, possibly avoid. We appreciated that she also left us to enjoy the peace and privacy her cabin offered, without being "too helpful". We will definitely return again and again! Several friends and I stayed at this cabin recently. We found the warmth and homeyness of the Purdy Cabin exceptional. From the scenic drive in where we witnessed wildlife to the cicada serenade, we felt at peace with the world and one with nature. Inside was cozy beds and decor Martha Stewart would be proud to call her own. Our crew opted for a float down the gorgeous Illinois River, conveniently located a stones throw from the spacious Purdy porch. I’ve seen many moons on the banks of a river, but the nights at Purdy Cabin will always rank near the top. Thanks for making a memorable weekend possible.

The Purdy Cabin was the perfect place for our friends group’s rafting weekend!! The location is close enough to town to get what you need and far enough outside of town to be able to relax and feel like an escape!! The multi-level back deck was my favorite place to spend time! I enjoyed sitting out there drinking my coffee while watching the scenery in the mornings and ending the evenings with a cold drink and friends! The host was super friendly and provided us with lots of great suggestions. We took her advice for a float outfitter (IRO) right down the road and had a GREAT time! The cabin was very clean and fully stocked with anything we needed- linens, kitchen items, games/puzzles, etc. I had to work some while I was there too and had no issues with the wifi! I hope to visit again soon!

Had a wonderful time at the cabin last weekend with friends. My favorite spot is the deck, it’s a great spot to enjoy coffee or cocktails. Purdy Cabin is a perfect spot to get away in the Tahlequah area for a river rafting weekend with friends. I would recommend the accommodations to anyone and hope to return again next summer!

Have stayed many places on the river in the past but this one is by far my favorite. This was my third trip to the Cabin and as always everything was wonderful. The cabin is always clean and inviting. The cabin host has done some amazing renovations to the cabin over the years. Can't wait to go back!
