QUA Contemporary Chinese Cuisine

I have heard about this group and their restaurants but had not been. Our group picked this one to celebrate a very special friend's birthday. I was abit biased about their "fusion asian concepts", especially a Vietnamese proclaimed but operates chinese dishes. Boy, they proved me wrong, my prejudices... 1. Shrimp hargow: 2.5/5 - fresh shrimp but tastes bland. The wrapper is torn up easily. 2. Sichuan bang bang chicken: 3/5 - good and different. 3. Calamari: 5/5 - delicious, squid was not fishy at all, so tender, and the coating was so crispy and light. 4. Beef roll: 3.5/5 - pretty good but not memorable, lacking scallions and cilantro, also needs a special sauce... 5. Best modern Chinese Food dining i ever experienced. Nicole lady was professional+ , awesome sweet,friendly & detailed. 3 of us we ordered *crab Roe *braised beef noodle soup *chicken cartilage mala bbq spice *pan-friend pancake *Kaya toast All not only present beautifully, all tasted special & yummy yummy yummy. excellent Dining atmosphere here yes, i 100% 100%recommended QUA.

Qua adds to KEI Concepts latest modern Asian restaurant with a modern Chinese restaurant that is like Din Tai Fung and Tim Ho Wan made a baby together. Food and service were excellent. Plenty of parking in the plaza. We came for lunch, but definitely want to come back to try their dinner specialties Food/Drink- 5 stars Every dish was excellent, flavorful and not too greasy. I highly recommend the signature Crab roe, the century egg and pork congee -marinated cucumber- good opener and well balanced -Chili surf clam- fresh, spicy and well balanced -"Cheung fun" shrimp rice roll- pretty good -Pork and shrimp shin mai- juicy and excellent -braised beef noodle soup- full of flavor and cooked perfectly. reminded me of Din Tai Fung's version but with more mustard greens -braised pork belly over

You’ve all seen QUA on social media and we’ve all heard the buzz, but is it really worth a visit? This was my second time here, so here are my true thoughts. The interior is posh and swanky, with a nod to Chinatown influences, with phenomenal service as expected from a Kei Concepts restaurant. I love the drinks we got, like the Ming Dynasty cocktail that was both complex and spicy, and the Hong Kong milk tea. Utterly OBSESSED with the crab roe dish--you can get it over rice or noodles, and comes in a cute presentation. Most people’s biggest complaint is the pricing, but honestly, it’s pretty on par with other higher end spots in OC. My favorite bites are the Sichuan bang bang chicken and the sinfully delicious dongpo rou that literally just melts away in your mouth. Would I come back

Review 40/365 Day Challenge I've always heard about Qua restaurant since I've dined a lot at the Kei Concepts and they are always emailing regards to restaurants promotions and new restaurant coming into their group. Qua is a contemporary Chinese restaurant with a fine dining exquisite experience type of vibe. I thought for a 2nd it was a dim sum menu but they serve more than that. I ordered the Hong Kong Tea to go and it was good. Saw that lot of people were getting that. A popular milk tea served w grass jelly topping and has a cold foam caramelized brulee topped had mee wanting it and i knew This is a must. It’s not surprisingly overly sweet.
