Queens Public Library at St.Albans

I really needed to print important paperwork, but was told I couldn't use the computer a quarter to closing. Printing would have only taken 2 minutes. Unbelievable... :( super sad, super sad... it was a terrible experience that I had to leave a review.

This library is in desperate need of more welcoming and professional staff. Unfortunately, my experience was met by the unpleasant behavior of the employees, particularly the larger black women working at the customer service desk. She is exceptionally unhelpful, loud, and discourteous. Her demeanor is of an unfriendly customer service representative that frequently engaged in loud, distracting conversations with her colleagues instead of assisting patrons. If you require help, I would advise against approaching her, as you're likely to be met with negative energy and a lack of support. This was my first and, regrettably, my last visit to this library. I cannot recommend it until there is a significant improvement in the staff's attitude and professionalism.

The staff at this library are awful! I was having issues with navigating the computer, I asked for help and they just looked at me as though I’m dumb, like alittle explanation would’ve helped me a lot. Terrible attitude man and it’s so ridiculous. Grown African American women like come on, why do they have to be rude towards.

Great library in the community, libraries in general is like a home to me because of the admiration I have for books. This place is peaceful, nice , quiet and clean.

I used to come here as a kid with my parents and I fell in love with reading here. I could finish my school assignments and draw in my sketchbook with my younger brother then walk home. I finally have time to sit and read as an adult. Unfortunately it seems they were not open. Today is Wednesday Jul 3,2024 at around 3PM but when I went today and earlier this week the doors were not open and I didn't see anyone sitting inside but the lights inside looked like they were on. I didn't see any updates or announcements posted on the door and according to Google maps it states that they are open until 6PM today. The website mentioned virtual meetings and such but I was really hoping to sit down in person and read. Does anyone know if they are actually open this summer or maybe I have the hours of
