Customer Reviews
Great neighbor restaurant with a laid-back vibes, friendly staff, great crafted cocktails and appointed menu: Met server Fig and bartender Jazz, both down to earth people, gave great suggestions. Try ths Purple Rain cocktail and Caramel Delight shot, both very delicious! Will be back soon. 👍🏾
R Public House really came through with their Pancakes of the Week. They were big, fluffy, and honestly just so good. They came with strawberry coulis, a big scoop of ice cream, and fresh peaches on top — simple, but already fire. Of course, I had to put a little razzle-dazzle on it. I added two layers of mixed berry jam with the strawberry coulis, then put apricot jam on the top layer. I made a warm homemade syrup with butter, vanilla extract, cinnamon, and regular syrup, and poured it right over the stack. Perfect. The crazy part is I could’ve eaten the pancakes exactly as they came and still raved about them. If I had whipped cream, I probably would’ve ordered another one for later. If you’re in Rogers Park, definitely try these pancakes. They’re worth it.
French onion soup is out of this world! All of the food is amazing, but I haven’t had French onion soup like that in my life! Also obsessed with their spicy Dijon sauce with tenders and fries
I recently moved back to Rogers Park. My friend lives down the street from R Public House so I suggested we meet there for dinner and drinks. I am so glad we did! The food was delicious, the server was a seasoned pro and the drinks were drank! We were invited to return to a Golden Girls Trivia night. We went! We had a blast! Again, great food! Great service! Great drinks! I wonder if they have a Drag Brunch on Sundaze?!?
I live in Edgewater and had never heard of this place before some friends invited me for brunch this past Sunday (Feb 15). This place is fantastic! I was super impressed with the menu and wanted to try everything - I settled for a special they were offering which was an Italian Beef omelette. It came with some breakfast potatoes - my dish was a substantial portion that was tasty, decadent with the cheese and very filling. Our server was also gracious and friendly and took great care of us. Going to R Public House was a treat and I can't wait to go back!
