RA Sushi - Austin

Even though the restaurant was short-staffed, the service was absolutely amazing. Our server, Roberto, was so helpful and made sure we were taken care of the entire time. We started with the gyoza potstickers, which were delicious, and for our meals I had the Adults Only roll while my friend had the teriyaki chicken. Both were so good we left our plates completely bare. Great food, great service, and a wonderful experience overall. Would definitely come back!

I visited RA Sushi last night after a long day of work. I’m grateful that they are one of the few restaurants downtown that stay open until 12 am. Not only were they open when I came in late at night, I loved how they lite up my sushi with fire and served it. Their gyozas are probably the best that I have so far tried in Austin. They are light and not too crispy, but super tasteful. The interior there has always been absolutely beautiful. I remember going there on a date one time and it was so busy, but yesterday I went thereby myself-it was such a nice and quiet setting. I highly recommend.

The food was good. I can recommend happy hour. The views are great too. However, we ordered 2 sushi rolls at first which arrived in about ~12 minutes. Then we ordered shrimp tempura roll and were waiting for more than ~20 minutes. I asked our waitress to cancel it for us because of the wait. Also, the host at the entrance greeted us okay and gave us a table, but I asked our waitress if we can change tables she said yes and we moved to a different one. Maybe 10 minutes later the host was sitting people outside, he noticed us that we moved, and I saw him looking at us and shaking his head left and right like it was unacceptable.

Ra Sushi Bar in Austin, Texas is hands down one of my favorite spots when I visit! The vibe is fun and welcoming, and the salmon was absolutely delicious — fresh, flavorful, and perfectly prepared. Every visit has been a great experience, and it’s always a must-stop for me when I’m in town. Highly recommend for sushi lovers! 🍣✨

This is OK as far as the sushi goes, which is all I tried. Not bad, not great. You will never think "Oh great fish texture and flavor!" It's about at the level of a conveyer belt cheaper sushi place in Tokyo. To be honest I thought that the "sweet egg" omelette sushi was the worst, terribly seasoned and cooked. The fish ones were OK but nothing special.
