Rahat Bakery on Route 1, NJ is a hidden gem for anyone who loves fresh, authentic South Asian baked goods. Everything tastes fresh and full of flavor, especially their almond cake, pastries, and sweets. The quality is consistently excellent, and you can tell they care about what they make. The staff is polite and welcoming, and service is quick even when the place is busy. Prices are reasonable, and the variety is great if you’re looking for traditional bakery items done right. Highly recommended if you’re in the area and want fresh, delicious bakery items — definitely worth stopping by! They are in business since 1950.

Nostalgic experience. We tried chicken drumsticks, aloo samosa, meat samosa, chicken rolls, and pizza fajitas. It took us 20 minutes before we could order, and another 15 minutes or so for our pizza to arrive. This could be improved. Overall, the team was polite and friendly. I liked the authentic taste and spice level, and I would come here again. This is a fantastic bakery that really reminds you of back home. Recommended.

Absolutely worst experience! Came here based on Tiktok and the bought 5 stars. To start the bad experience, the server was on his phone the entire time and when we asked if he can clean a visibly dirty table, he told us to sit at another table which was dirty too. We ordered food, and he attempted to give us the food straight from the tray and when we asked if the food was warm he touched it and goes “yea its fine”. I asked to warm it and it comes back hot from outside and cold inside. We wait for the pizza- the biggest mistake. The base of the pizza was store brought and horrible taste. The cheese was overly added. Once the slice was picked up, the ingredients fell off ( see pictures). OVERALL, dont waste time and money youll be very disappointed!

I was recommended by someone so thought to check them out. I was traveling from NYC to Maryland so took a 10 minutes detour from I-95. Atmosphere was nice and clean. Service was good. I ordered vegetable samosas, chicken patties, kachori, kulfi pastry, rus gulla, ghulab jamun and almond burfee. The samosa was tasty with perfect spices and flavor with good crust. The chicken patty had good flavor but could have been better. The kulfi pastry tasted like kulfi. Ghulab jamun was tasty, but rus gulla and almond burfee were ok. It was an ok experience.
