Ralph’s Italian Ices & Ice Cream

For me, summer truly begins when Ralph’s reopens for the season. They’ve been making ices and ice cream on Staten Island since 1928! I love their cream ice; I had mint chip and chocolate peanut butter cup. Delicious!

I have been coming to this location for a few years. Every season the children that work here get worse. I stopped by this afternoon to grab a quick treat. It was 1pm and the annoyed little girl was just opening. After she ignored me at the window for a few minutes, she finally asked "what i wanted ". I asked for a bag to put my ice in. She literally said, I can have a bag after i pay! I am done with the children and this location. The taste of the product does not compensate for the rude and ridiculous behavior of the work force. Goodbye Ralphs forever!

I've never had a "bad" Italian ice, so not the best judge, but Ralph's are unquestionably good. They have lots of other frozen treats too. Special place for all ages.

When you want a quick sweet treat! Go to the one on Bay Street! They take card and cash and the line goes quickly and is never as long as Port Richmond’s Ralphs.

Stranded in line for 30 minutes in 90-degree weather, but I had to. Every time I'm on the island, I go to Ralph's because it is nostalgic for me. I've been standing in line at the Ralph's in Port Richmond since the 80s. I got a strawberry-watermelon water ice, my daughter had a vanilla and strawberry cheesecake, twister and my husband got a strawberry milkshake.
