Ramen Izakaya Taiko

The Yuzu Shio Paitan ramen here is absolutely amazing! The broth has a deep, authentic Japanese dashi flavor, and the yuzu adds a bright, refreshing aroma. It’s perfectly balanced and incredibly delicious one of the best ramen bowls I’ve had in the U.S.

All the broths and entrees were great, appetizers were all very good too. Picked up a lot when we got there. The seating was the only disappointing item for the meal or, bench seats were not comfortable, padding was thin and very worn down. The service was quick and they kept our items coming as we ordered. The place started to fill up later after 7 pm, got bit crowded at that time.

Probably some of the best ramen I've had in a long time. The Taiko special is to die for; the chicken is so tender. The broth is both refreshing and super flavorful. We also got the fried sesame chicken. It was amazing, crispy but also juicy. The sushi is also very fresh and flavorful. 10/10

Recently found this place bc we moved in across the street, definitely a hidden gem. The chicken was so tender and the fish was very fresh. We were quickly welcomed by the chef and out waiter was very nice and attentive. We will definitely be returning

I discovered this restaurant through social media and was immediately intrigued to learn it is affiliated with the well-regarded Taiko brand. As a frequent patron of Taiko’s Irvine location, particularly for their sushi, I was curious to see how this new concept compared. Overall, the experience exceeded my expectations. The ramen stood out for its depth of flavor, particularly the distinctive yuzu notes, which are uncommon in traditional ramen and added a refreshing twist. The sushi offerings were equally impressive—thoughtfully curated, innovative, and executed with precision. The creativity displayed in the sushi menu reflects a bold yet disciplined approach to contemporary Japanese cuisine. The ambiance closely mirrors that of the original Taiko, creating a sense of familiarity that
