This place always seemed to be busy when I drove by, so I figured it was worth a try. That was several months ago, and I keep going back whenever I'm hankering a salad with crab cake - a local standard that Rams Head does well. I'm sure I'll miss it after I move back home to Tennessee where they don't know what crab cakes are. The rest of the food, as far as I can tell, is good, too. The servers are always prompt and very friendly to me.
I'm a very regular customer that picks up carryout. I am normally very happy with my food, but I was beyond disappointed tonight when I picked up my blackened chicken mac and cheese. I have had it before and it is excellent. The chicken is actually blackened, there is plenty of it and the mac and cheese is very cheesy and baked with bread crumbs. NOT TONIGHT. There was barely any chicken. It was barely cooked and sprinkled with a little blackening seasoning. Not blackened at all. The macaroni was not cheesy and there was not much of that either and there were no bread crumbs. TWENTY FIVE DOLLARS I paid for this. If course I did not know this until I got home. Too late, too far away etc to drive it back and complain. I could not be more disappointed.
Great roadside stop for dinner. We had the beet salad, black bean soup, and the shepherd's pie. All homemade and good including the rolls. (We shared everything and they even split the salad for us so you get more that it looks like in our pics) Everything we ordered was excellent! Nice people, and atmosphere. So many more options to chose from on the menu. One couple near us guessed the weight of the lobster and ate it for FREE!
First time here and it did not disappoint! The wings were perfectly crispy, the pretzels were great, the crab cake sandwich was perfectly and seasoned well, the fajitas were well flavored, and my kids really enjoyed the kids burgers and sundaes. The house beers were also great! Staff were super friendly and welcoming and the environment was fun and clean. Fellow patrons were also very friendly. There are many tvs with a variety of channels to watch if you looked around. The happy hour deal was great and it is definitely worth signing up for the rewards program. We cannot wait to come back!
We had SUCH a great experience at the roadhouse tonight! The staff is the absolute BEST! Cam was our host and went above and beyond getting us the perfect table, Lawson took such good care of us as our server, and Nicki the manager (who i always see leading by example) even came by to make sure everything was perfect for us. And it was! Whoever hires the staff here, keep it up! Highly recommend.
