Ray's Chicken & Fish

The catfish was light and fluffy. The chicken and fries crispy, the corn bread was moist and the greens weren't spicy (yes I'm weak). The food was hot and the service was great! The guy was very busy when we walked in. He still said hello, and was gracious and walked our food to us when it was ready (we ate there).

If I could give Ray's chicken and fish, more than 5 stars, I most definitely would. Their food is so awesome. It's always fresh. The employees are extremely nice. The restaurant is always clean.This is a really good restaurant to eat at..

Ok y'all this one is good one. I went with my daughter and grand daughter by the way she's 2. They've got a variety of fish and seafood chicken and deserts. I ordered the 2 item combo Red Snapper and Basa...my daughter ordered the same 2 combo but Catfish and Chicken Tenders for the toddler. Everything was on point except the Snapper it was average but the rest of it was very good im talkin juicy chicken tenders. Normally places have dry and hard tenders these were perfect the Catfish and Basa was fire y'all. When Im In "Sac" thats where im goin sorry JJ's....it's Rays for me. Oh! Found this little fast food fish and chicken place. The coating was a bit spicy but the fish was so fresh and Very Tasty!! What's left of our order. 3 different fish - red snapper, cod & one we hadn't heard of, basa. The only thing I have to grump about is they put dill in their tartar. One of the NO NO herbs for me. We will make sure to stop here again when we're in the Sacramento area. Do give it a try!

One of the greatest hidden gems in Sacramento. I had the fried Basa fish, and it was the freshest fish I ever had in my life. It just melted in my mouth. They must have a huge aquarium in their basement. Their fried chicken was also very fresh and moist. They also have an incredible array of desserts to go with huge cupcakes and all sorts of cake slices. I'm thankful to Aftershocks Festival, bc if it were not for them I would have stayed in a hotel much closer to downtown and missed this place. I plan on trying every fish item on their menu. It's so hard to find both diverse and fresh fish in the US. I'm beside myself how good and fresh the food is here. Don't let the outside and neighborhood fool you, there's a hidden gem of food inside this place. I love eating at fancy places like Benne
