Ray's Chicken & Fish

Rays has always been good food to me, but I came back after not patronizing them for at least a good 3 years. I was disappointed because I called in aheadrequesting that my food is fried hard and then at mild sauce. everything was soggy, which, it was important to me to be cooked appropriately. I called to inform. The gentleman that answer did offer for me to come back in and they re-cook it but I Declined letting him know that the reason I called is that I didn’t have time to wait

Very friendly and great service! I had the catfish and cornbread. The catfish was fried fresh and had a great flavor. The cornbread was nice bite size pieces and were extremely delicious! Another jewel with good food, great service and good prices, I highly recommend!!

I feel like people who really appreciate food understand 2 things; “whole in the wall” spots should be referred to as hidden gems & you can tell when someone cooks with love! I'm from Miami and used to Snappers Fish and Chicken. I'm in search of something similar since I'm in the area. I'm so glad I found Ray's! Everything is fresh, the market is clean and fresh, and the service is perfect. I was lucky enough to meet the man himself, Ray. Turns out he grew up in Miami and knew all about Snappers😅 I got a whiting and jumbo shrimp combo. Had the whiting fried hard, and it was perfectly executed! Fish was flaky, fresh, and not dried out. The jumbo shrimp were, in fact, jumbo shrimp. The potato salad, I knew it was good when I saw the small container, but I know next time to get extra because it was fire 🔥. Definitely a 10 outta 10, and now when I'm craving my cheat day,I know where I'm going!

We've been coming here for about three or four years now. We have had the catfish,cod,garlic crab, chicken, potatoes salad, and coleslaw. The catfish is not gamy like other places, it's fresh and soft when you bit into it. The fish is fried crispy and so delicous. The cod falls apart when you bite into it so good. The crab meat is just right and it's not dry or chewy like other places ive had crab boil. The potatoe salad is made with fresh vegetables and you can taste it. It's not too dry or too creamy. The coleslaw is just perfect, tangy not too sweet. Ray is such a great guy, he makes you feel welcome and answers all your questions! The amount they give you is perfect, not too little either!
