Red 8 Saratoga Springs Asian And Japanese Cuisine

Red 8 continues to be the best sushi in Saratoga Springs! I left a 5 star review 2 years ago, I deleted it so I could leave a new review. I’m happy to say Red 8 is still 5 stars! Red 8’s atmosphere is always light and welcoming, the staff are kind and accommodating. if you’re a local, they’ll remember their customers and treat you as friends. They remember my family doesn’t like the wasabi so they stopped serving it with the sushi we order, haha. That is dedication! In a sea of repetitive restaurant chains, Red 8 stands out and I consider it a local gem. you’ll get a level of service here you simply can’t get with all the big, multi location restaurants popping up in Saratoga. treat the staff with kindness and patience and you will receive the same in return. Give it a try!

I did not expect to find this level of sushi in Saratoga Springs. Red 8 was such a pleasant surprise. Fresh, tasty rolls that came out fast and totally hit the spot. The vibe is cozy, very family friendly, and they do takeout which is a huge win for busy nights. Great service and seriously yummy sushi. A new favorite.

Lots of sushi options! Their mini cheesecakes are good overall. They do have higher prices than other places I been to. I didn’t like that the servers were talking next to us most of the time, but overall is a nice place to go out.

Red 8 was a great dinner spot! We shared the General Tso’s chicken, just the right amount of breading, perfect flavor and spice, and the sauce was amazing!! Also tried the California crunch roll, which was fresh and tasty. Service was friendly and fast. Will definitely be back!

*March 2023 Edit. The first time we went here it was great. Sadly, our subsequent visits were not nearly as great. Food quality and service went down markedly. We loved this place. Good prices, large portions. I got the General Tso's Chicken, wife got Mongolian Beef, daughter got Orange Peel Chicken and Mother-in-Law got Walnut Chicken. All really good. Walnut Chicken is very sweet. We loved it, but if you don't like sweet, it probably won't be for you. We also got ham fried rice, a California roll and an Alaska roll. Fried rice was really good. Lots of ham and had a slight smokey flavor we liked. The Sushi is above average, and reasonably priced. Great service, clean place. Will definitely be going back.
