Went in for a Creemee. Lucky they were still serving them. We ordered a medium maple and a small vanilla creemee (waffle cones). Both were good! Clean and organized. Limited indoor and outdoor seating. Spot outside to take pictures. They have other treats like ice creams and sundaes. They also have other goodies like maple products, candies, beverages and more! Maybe some good music to make it a perfect setting. And just a little bit of smile goes a long way:)
There was 2 ladies the tallest (I thinks so her name it’s Terese for the tall one ) both of them pretty amazing! Manager should take a look how much patient they are and how great they do their job! Super friendly and super nice with the kids ! For sure this is a spot to be here if you are visiting ! Highly recommend and one more time those two ladies were incredible in a positive way
We loved the maple vanilla ice cream! It was so rich and creamy. I haven’t read the other reviews, but if this wasn’t super premium ice cream, i would be surprised. I also love the cotton candy flavored ice cream, as well as the cookies and cream. It was rich and more chocolatey than most other cookies and cream brands. The fact that a cone was only 35 cents extra was hard to believe in this day and age, and especially in Stowe, Vermont! We also tried the sour fruit gummy candies: they taste more like a fusion of gummy and fruit licorice and were not overtly sour. The maple popcorn in plastic bins was also well-kept: fresh and good. The aftertaste is where you get the maple flavor. Really enjoyed it. The ambience of the store was plain and there were enough places to sit when it’s not cro
For the prices you charge, give people some ice cream! $4.95 + tax for a single scoop equivalent to a kiddie cup is insulting. Typical tourist trap. I'm from NJ and we do way better than this. Up your game!
Red Barn Ice Cream is a great place! If you’re near to Stowe, and you’re craving either hard ice cream or creemees, this is an excellent option. They have one of the best maple creemees I’ve had so far in Vermont - I’ve tried quite a few! Their creemees are super tricky and creamy (as they should be considering the name) and are far superior to traditional soft serve ice cream. They have an impressive selection of hard ice cream flavors, ranging from traditional like chocolate and vanilla, to much more unique flavors like Vermont maple and more! This is a BUSY place - after dinner, expect a pretty decent line! However, it moves pretty quickly and you won’t wait too long. There is sufficient parking as it’s in a strip mall, and overall it’s a solid neighborhood ice cream shop with everythin
