Lived at 116 Mill St in the 60’s, raised my children there! It was nice and affordable but eventually it began to decline, so we moved! It was a great learning experience!

I lived on the 3rd floor in the 1970s. I was 5 years old. I have great memories of playing outside. The playground had a large concrete or steel dolphin we would sit on. I went to P.S. 27. Great memories, but these buildings need to be torn down and rebuilt. I believe they were built in the 1940s!

We need someone who can fix the root problem of the constantly heavy leaking. We can’t shower and cook due water pipes issues constantly leaking above. It is so bad that it’s like a waterfall. This has been happening for years since moving in, no one seems to know where is water is leaking from nor can they get someone that knows what he/she is doing. Building 161 bush st at Red Hook East btw.

The number on this page doesn’t work. I’m sure that’s intentional. If you are facing issues with NYCHA EAST and aren’t getting an assistance start calling your district councilman. You can find out who that is with a swift google search. Go above NYCHA. Go above the Red Hook Justice Center. Contact the local news stations. Do whatever needs to be done until the work is done or we will continue to suffer as a community.
