Red Light Bar & Detroit Pizza

It’s about time I wrote a review for my favorite pizza spot in DC. This is by far the best Detroit style pizza in DC, and my favorite pizza place. The pizzas are huge, and friend and I can usually split one but I get my own with my husband! Here’s a picture of a crust from a takeout order, absolutely gorgeous and perfectly crunchy. Like all takeout, the food is most delicious in restaurant. It’s a fun bar style vibe. This place is truly a GEM in DC. Once you try it you’ll be hooked. Detroit style is pan- style pizza with sauce on top - it’s not like typical NY style.

Maybe one of my top picks for pizza in DC. That's all Detroit style fried crust pizza, and it's only four pieces, but that is plenty for two average sized people to share. Was surprised to find there was a happy hour until 7:00 Mon to Thursday and got the pepperoni pizza for nearly half price. The have some drink specials as well.

My wife and I were both like "where did they find this pepperoni?!?!?" And the the crunchy toasty crunch was edges was sublime! Recommend the Red Wing and add pepperoni's to it; cause the vinaigrette just dances with the tomato sauce. The Red Light Lager was pretty bomb as well. Atmosphere really has a cool local vibe hang-out feel, and Tyler may be my new best friend..we'll see. Go! I'll see you there.

Our visit to Red Light Bar & Detroit Pizza turned out to be quite an enjoyable evening, despite a few hitches. The highlight was undoubtedly their pan pizza, which was delicious though a tad oily for our liking. The place was bustling with energy, a testament to its popularity, which meant we ended up sitting outside. Nonetheless, the lively atmosphere and great food made for a fun night out. If you're in the mood for some authentic Detroit pizza and don't mind the crowd, this spot is definitely worth a visit.

Awesome Detroit-style pizza that is the perfect blend of thick-thin-crunchy-spongy-sweet-savory! The brussel sprouts are a great complement to the pizza, and the quantities of both are enough to fill two people but not leave them stuffed.
