Red Sea Pizza and Market

Been ordering delivery from here for many years. Ask for THIN crust and this is the best pizza in SF. Delivery is on-time and friendly. Can't say enough good stuff.

Red Sea is a neighborhood corner store, but much much more. Has some of the best thin crust pizza in the city and the service can’t be beat.

We were craving pizza and wanted an option that was close enough. Red Sea had great reviews. We called (phone or in-person orders only). The person on the phone was nice and recommended the Pesto and Balboa park veggie as bestsellers for their veggie pizzas. So far so good. Order was ready in time, and service was excellent (hence the 2 stars). However, the pizza was extremely low quality. Probably one of the worst we had. And we have a LOT of pizza. One look, and you could see that the veggies used on the pizza were bottom of the barrel - the tomato was colorless and tasteless, and the onion still had some peel. The dough is usually a star and didn't feel like it was proofed and tasted like cardboard. The cheese was low quality and tasteless. We felt sick after eating the pizza. If you

Why is the best pizza in this neighborhood not one of the spots near Mission & Italy but rather a corner store off the Muni line on San Jose? Feel free to try every local pizza place (I did!) but this one is the best.
