Great food. The mole and tortillas are perfection. The staff is so nice as well and very accommodating for littles.
This place is the real deal. Homemade delicious soft tortillas, great homemade sauces to drizzle over everything, we shared and loved every dish. Particular standouts were the special of the day chilaquiles (added chicken and chorizo) and the salmon Zerandeado. Only feedback would be to make the salmon fish a little less sauce on top, the fish itself was great but became a little sloppy with everything on top. I travel to Mexico city often and this is as legit as you'll find in the bay area. Can't wait to see this place blow up, it's great.
Overall a solid 4/5 stars. 5/5 on food. I love they are adding to the conversation of Mexican food in the Mission, definitely not just another Mexican spot and the quality and taste is excellent! Saw reports on Eater and Infatuation about the quality of the food and how they are newly opened went last night to try it out! The food was realllly good and the service was super friendly. The atmosphere is cute and they played good music (Cumbia followed by Reggaeton/Bad Bunny near close). Which was great. Food came out relatively fast and hot. Generous portions and super tasty! Got the Mole de Pollo and Carne Asada. The Carne took first place for us but the Mole on the chicken itself was drool worthy and the they actually served a small side of the Mole with the Carne Asada, so might just g
Just like the sister restaurant, the star is the food. If you like the brunch, you need to come here and have the dinner option too. It’s a true authentic cuisine from central Mexico with a concentration on sauces. Everything is tasty. All the basics are top notch and the specials with the flavorful sauces are awesome. I got the molcajete and can’t wait to try the other entrees on my next visit.
Really tasty, good portions, kind staff. Would definitely return! Had the chicken mole and cafe de olla
