Retro Metro

Celebrated our 20 year anniversary and glad we picked Retro Metro. We did an early dinner, (later would have had better ambiance as they dim lights at 5). We had ribeye steak and it was amazing. Other choice was lasagna it was tasty and was a good accompaniment to the steak. Dessert was amazing and nice flair with the sparkling candle.

Upscale Italian fusion steakhouse would be the way I’d describe Retro Metro! Making a reservation is helpful! We sat in the bar area both times I visited and it was a bit loud (as the bar seating of any restaurant). The main dining room is separated by a wall from the bar area and was considerably quieter. The food was delicious. Between the two visits, we had flash fried spinach and the duck wontons. They were heavenly. The spinach was crisp and flavorful, perfect for sharing at the table since it felt like fancy, healthy chips. The 5 piece duck wontons reminded my husband of a friend/toasted ravioli with corn and duck filling with orange zest on the outside of the wontons and an organice dipping sauce. We enjoyed our dinner there so much and we will be back! Our waitress Jessica was so friendly and wrote everything down ahead of time since we were deaf and that impressed us! Calamari was pretty good, just a bit too salty for us. Salmon cakes, oh myyy!! My hubby couldn’t have enough of these! I ordered maple salmon and my hubby ordered Alaskan halibut. My hubby loved that dish, so did I! I kept taking some bites of his halibut, it was soo unbelievably delicious!! Mine was pretty good, maybe tone down on salt.

We have lived in the area for about 4 years now and I have heard your ads on morning talk radio. Finally the clouds aligned and we we able to try the Retro Metro. The girls who greeted us were pleasantly accommodating. The atmosphere was perfect, (our server I'll get to him in a minute) our drinks were superb, the food was prepared to perfection. We had a Valentines/anniversary dinner at Retro Metro. It was the first time we ate there and we and definitely coming back soon! We asked for a booth and was graciously granted the change in table. The food and wait staff was superb! We had the wedge salad, and split the 10 oz filet with crab cake, risotto and green beans. We had margaritas and I had a pilot noir house wine and the drinks were amazing Everything was terrific! The filet had an amazing crust yet was perfectly cook to a medium temp as requested. The sides were so flavorful and just the right amount of seasoning The salad was a meal In itself. The meal was more than we could eat. We ad more than enough for leftovers! I can't wait for our next meal / appetizers or social ger together at Retro Metro! Great job!
