We went for lunch. We come here very often but it was always for dinner. Lunch service this time was best food, service, and atmosphere we’ve had. Chicharron was cut thinner than for dinner service which was way more palatable. Rice and beans were very well seasoned. Beef empanadas were great but had more potato than beef. Calamari had a very light batter which was nice. The same day, Ecuador and Peru had a match which we were made aware of by the oversized Ecuadorian and Peruvian flags. It’s good to see a business still changing its interior and for the better.
The food quality is very good, the problem that they are having now is that they increase the prices and reduce portions. With the drink they are ridiculous, I ordered a piña colada without whip cream and they give me half cup!!! The excuse was that the cup was 16oz and they use 12oz for that. So you are telling me that you charged $12 for a kids cup? I don't think that the guy that give me that excuse knows anything about measurement, I ordered a pina colada with alcohol not a kids meal drink!
Really enjoyed my visit to Rinconcito Paisa! The staff is absolutely outstanding — super friendly, attentive, and welcoming from the moment you walk in. The atmosphere is cozy and has a nice authentic feel. The food was good but I felt it could use a little more flavor and consistency — some dishes were better than others. Overall a solid spot with exceptional service that keeps you coming back!
This is a good place—walking distance from Planet Fitness. Vegetable Soup was delicious, meat and all. Yes the Vegetable Soup has meat in it—beware if you are vegetarian. The maduros were some of the best I have ever eaten—I’m so glad I ordered them. The garlic shrimp appetizer was very nice—lots of shrimp. Calamares were okay. I’d like to try more of the menu next time. The music was too loud.
I ordered the skirt steak platter. It was pricey so I expected a decent steak. The steak tasted like pure vinegar. I told the waitress and asked her if she told the manager. She said yes. The manager never came to my table to inquire about the meal or offer any kind of compensation. The total bill for 2 steak platters was $83. Not worth 50 cents. The waiters were young and lacked experience. Did not know how to react to a complaint about the food. I would NOT recommend this place and will never go there again. Too expensive, food was not palatable, and service was under par.
