I may give this place another chance but not sure. Food tasted good but the portion of my corned beef hash was a garnish on my plate. See photos. That was before eating. Usually when you charge $13 eggs for two scrambled eggs and corn beef hash - the hash is the star. On this plate the plentiful rye toast was. I wondered if they ran out and this was the last of it. Service was great and friendly. Coffee was good.
Visited in the late morning and had a really pleasant experience overall. The place had a calm, relaxed vibe at that time of day, which made the visit even more enjoyable. The wait staff were polite, attentive, and genuinely pleasing in their behavior — they made sure everything was taken care of without being intrusive. The food was also very good, fresh, flavorful, and served at the right temperature. It felt like a well-balanced combination of good service and good food. Definitely a spot worth recommending for a smooth and satisfying experience.
Skip the others and go here!! Best breakfast out I've had in a very long time, and we go out to breakfast more often than we do dinner. We love our breakfast food, but I haven't walked away from a breakfast out and been able to say, "I can't wait to go back there because it was THAT good," for years. Despite other reviews, I'd much prefer to have excellent quality food rather than giant portions (and who needs them??). The portion size was perfect (DEFINITELY not small), especially considering they use high-quality ingredients instead of skimping to save money. Cost is exactly what I pay at any other diner, and that food is typically not nearly as good. Not skimping on quality shows: the homefries were super good (they used yukon golds instead of crappy white). The sweet potato sausa
A warm "good morning" from the waitress when I entered set the tone for an excellent breakfast. I ordered the sausage, biscuits and gravy with scrambled eggs and home fries. The biscuits and gravy were delicious and authentic like they were served up at a roadside diner in the low country. Top notch home fries too. Crispy and not greasy.
I ordered 2 eggs over easy, they were over medium, hash browns are sliced potatoes with the skin a few onions and no seasoning. 2 English muffins with extra butter were semi-rock hard. The Homemade Corned Beef Hash was fresh and I tasted a few larger pieces of corned beef but I think they grind the majority too much, over all though, fresh and yummy. Hometown feel, nice people and great service.
